Yes, each unit is assigned a unique digital ID and communicates only with other units specifically associated through a linking process.
25 switches can be linked to one controller.
The only limit is the wireless range. Multiple controllers may be linked to each switch.
A 3-way switch kit includes 2 wireless switches to which replace any existing wired switches. The controller replaces existing switches and does not work with them.
Typically between 50 and 150 ft. Range. The equipment nearly always works reliably within a 50’ radius and can work at longer distances.
Range is affected by:
Proximity to metal – keep away from metal to increase distance, use plastic boxes instead of metal where possible
Obstructions – Wireless signal transmits through most materials at least some distance. Materials in order of range reduction, minimum to maximum: glass, sheetrock, wood, aluminum siding, sheet metal, stucco (w/ wire mesh), brick, concrete
Interference – Some 900MHz wireless microphone systems are known to reduce the reliability of the wireless switches. There are no other known sources of interference.
The products use no batteries and include an integrated magnetic generator. They are designed with a 20+ year intended lifespan. They have a 5 year warranty.
Confirm the controller has power and the Status LED is Green (Output ON) or Red (Output OFF). Hold the MENU button until a click is heard – about 5 seconds. Buttons may be hidden under a sticker.
Click the top button of the switch 3 times. The status LED will pause GREEN for 3 seconds indicating that the switch ID has been added to the controller’s memory. If status LED pauses RED, the switch has been removed from memory; click the switch 3 more times to add it back.
Wait 30 seconds until clicking / blinking stops. Operate switch.

The controller does not respond to the wireless switch:
1. Confirm the controller is wired correctly and functional:
-The status light on the controller should be illuminated. Green means the output should be ON, Red means the output should be OFF. No status light indicates that power is not on, wiring is incorrect, or Controller has been damaged.
-Press the “Select” or “Test” button to toggle the controller output. Subsequent presses will cycle between ON and OFF. If the status light changes color and the light doesn’t respond there may be a wiring problem. If the relay doesn’t click, the relay may be damaged from an overload condition.
2. Confirm the switch is functional:
-Click the switch and confirm that the controller status light flickers. Each time the switch transmits, whether it is linked or not, the status light should flicker briefly. If it does not flicker, either the switch isn’t transmitting or the controller isn’t receiving.
-Link the switch to the controller. Hold the “Menu” button for about 5 seconds until the controller clicks, then release. While the controller is clicking, press one button on the switch 3 times. The controller status light will pause GREEN when the switch is added to the controller memory. The status light will pause RED when the switch is removed from the memory. If this happened, click the switch 3 more times to add it to the memory. If clicking the switch doesn’t not link, the switch may be damaged. If a second switch is available and works, then the first switch can be confirmed defective. If not, contact RunLessWire for support and warranty service if applicable.

Easy install of a fan/light combo kit into an unventilated bathroom for a DIY'er. I made an existing switch box larger, and added this with a continuous face plate and it looks good. Though, I wish that when I switched the rocker on/off it would stay in the on/off position rather than stay in the neutral position. Just so it looked more like the other rockers in on/off.
This is a great little device that avoids having to pay an electrician to run a dedicated wire through existing walls. You still do have to do some wiring on the receiving end - whatever you are wanting to control, but the switch itself can be installed in minutes and works great.
Where have you been all my life! I used to think to try to do things like this I'd need to call an electrician, but nope! Now I can just kill power to a circuit, screw it in easily enough and boom, now my light switch is anywhere I want to be! Okay, you're going to think I'm crazy, it's okay, I am... But we have a light switch that is a little inconvenient to get to, so we installed this and boom, now we can turn the lights off just by lifting up the little enclosure part of our couch. Absolutely insane application that just is perfect for our needs!
The perfect application for this system is replacing a ceiling light or single switch fan with a lighted ceiling fan with independent light/fan switch wires. Will also work for most instances where you need 2 switched wires and only have one circuit installed.This system requires being comfortable with electricity to install. Considering the price for this, if you're calling an electrician it might be a similar price to run a switch wire to the fan.The receivers require a neutral wire, so make sure you have on in your install location before ordering. Receivers are a bit bulky and it was difficult to fit both in with my fan wiring shroud, I needed to install a junction box nearby for these. From there I ran a whip to the fan box. This required work in the attic, which is what I was trying to avoid.After the install, this looks a lot better than a remote hanging off the wall, but not as nice as a two gang decora switch. Something about the two half sized switches doesn't sit well with me. Clicking is harder and louder than a standard switch, likely owing to whatever dymo charging system this switch is designed around. Theis system does work well, but they're not for me... I'm probably going to take this system out and run 12/3 wire with a dual gang box for 2 standard decora switches. I'm sure I'll find another use for this system somewhere.If you like the style and are comfortable with the install and price, this system would be a good buy. If you prefer a more classic look and feel, you probably won't like the switch.

Ok, I have to admit that I was extremely confused because there was no wiring needed for the switch itself. It's incredible. Now I can move switches anywhere I want. Highly recommended
One rocker switch, now becomes 2, that alone can be valuable in some applications...the two switches work, and avoid running new wires, which will cost more than these switches...overall, I like them a lot, worked great for application, not just for fan and light...I would give this 5 star, but the price seems high, but, i never saw any like this, so it sure is unique and if the savings from hiring electrical justifies it, well, its a good value to you...

Switch controls for fan and lights, it comes with 2. No need for wires or batteries. They run by kinetic energy. Control remotely 150 feet or more. They are expensive and put together by hand.. a quality product highly recommended ??
I used this remote switch to replace a pair of wall switches. The existing switches (two switches ganged in one box) would be inaccessible behind a tall cabinet once we finished moving furniture around. I installed the two remote modules after removing the existing toggle switches from the electrical double-gang box and mounted the double remote 'toggle' switch nearby but in a fully accessible location. The electronic switch modules are smaller than the legacy toggle switches, so they fit nicely in the electrical box. The remote modules each have a small red & a green LED which indicates if the switch is in the ON (green) or OFF (red) mode. Although in most installations you probably won't be able to see these LEDs, they do help in confirming that you've wired up everything correctly. Note that in order to install these inside a switch box, you MUST have white (neutral) wires inside the box. If there is no white wire(s) inside the box, the remote module will have to be installed at the fixture instead.The included switches which activate the remote modules use no batteries at all, which is extremely clever and useful. No batteries to replace, as other remote switches have! On this double-gang set, the two toggles are made slimmer so that TWO toggles fit in the space of ONE toggle, which is another huge plus: the double switch unit is exactly the same width as a single standard switch, and a standard 'Decora' switch plate could be used instead of the included one, so you install the switch with any switch plate from Home Depot, Lowes, etc. The switch itself is very shallow so if you want you could simply screw the switch & switch plate assembly onto the wall directly (no box needed) or use the enclosed double-sided tape. As the entire switch assembly is so shallow and only sticks out a little from the wall, it looks fine surface mounted.The whole shebang is made in the US, and is of a very high quality. Even the wires are stranded, tinned copper; being so flexible makes it easier to install. Highly recommend this remote switch!

Really needed a light to dim remotely but this doesn't do that. It does work perfectly at turning a light off or on with no batteries in the controller.
This wireless switch works great. It is easy to install and it has a very good range. I have the switch in my house and I have it controlling lights in my garage. The signal strength of the switch is very strong. The signal from my house has to go through two sheet rock walls and then 60 feet distance to the garage and then through the garage wall. It was also less expensive compared to digging a trench from the garage to the house and then trying to snake a wire up from the basement to the first floor.
