TECHNICAL DETAILS

Indoors Only: Switches and receiver are not weatherproof and should be used indoors; a receiver or switch installed on an outdoor light will need protection from the elements.

Pre-linked: Switches and receiver are shipped to you already linked together for a quicker installation.

Range: The range of switch is 50-150 feet from the receiver, depending on walls and barriers. Test desired distances before completing installation.

Interference: Multiple units may be used in the same home without interference. Unique radio frequency won’t interfere with other devices.

Power Supply: Receiver requires AC input. Switches are self-powered and require no power supply.

Easy Install: Our small receiver is simply wired between the power and the fixture, and then stored in the light box behind, or at the fixture location. Mount the switch anywhere with industrial tape or screws.  Also used to replace outdated, undesired current switches.

Great system to adapt to an old house.

Easy install, works right out of the box, and does everything I need it to.

I can now have 2 switches for an entry way light, and no need to worry about WiFi or batteries running out! Thank you!

Saves lots of money

Great solution saving me thousands of dollars in electrician cost to run wire and position an additional switch by the back door where it is needed.

Dont waste your time with other brands!

I have 4 sets of 1 receiver and 3 switches out in our pole barn. I like these especially because you do not need a wire at the switch location like other brands require. I bought a set off Amazon and within 6 months the receiver went bad I shoulda bought these in the first place! Quality is top notch and I have some that are in our barn and we live in Iowa so we get all the climate's and then some! These never have gave me any issues. The switch is about 40’ from the receiver and I’ve never had issues with interference or no communication. I will only buy this brand and I telleveryone I know to get these. I also did all my own wiring in our pole building so what these saved me in wire, conduit and time was well worth it! Will definitely buy again

Bought the 3-way on and off switch and used it for a LED flood light on the end of my garage. Put one switch in the garage and one in the house it worked perfectly. Couldn't be happier.

Works flawlessly! Much cheaper than what the electrician quoted to add a second switch for an existing light. Compatible with standard electrical boxes and face plates, too!

It saved me lots of headaches and who knows how much money.

Easy installation, very good quality.

Before buying I asked a question regarding how it behaves in case of power outage, I received a quick answer and, by the way, the switch is configurable.

Strongly recommended

It does what it's supposed to do

Seem to work OK.Needed a licensed electrician ' the one who recommended it initially ' to install it. Not a job for this handy homeowner. And it wasn't a 10-minute job for the electrician either. But it solved the need/problem we had.

Very High Quality! Easy to install!

Everyone can probably find a place that an extra switch would be handy. Do not buy the cheap copy cats. These are the real deal. Thankyou

Easier

I am working on an older home with electrical issues, which a licensed electrician fixed. Unfortunately, some of my lights were disconnected in the process. I have seen wireless switches similar to fan remote boxes, but this 3-way style switch was a revelation. It is no more difficult to install and works beautifully. The finished product does not look cheesy at all. I might get around to a more permanent solution, but for now this set is allowing me to move on to other projects.

Great wireless switch setup for our application

We used the 3 way switch and receiver relay package to control a lighting contactor for a church lobby/hall lighting circuits. The wireless switches are not in line of sight, about 100 feet apart, with no walls in between but they operate the receiver relay great. This is inside a metal building with a t-bar grid acoustical ceiling. The receiver relay is mounted above the ceiling panels. I really appreciated the great customer service RLW gave me answering my questions about this application before I purchased their devices.

Easy install, perfect solution

I love this switch! We got this for our living room to turn our recessed switch into a 3 way and it works perfectly! Installation was super easy, only took a few minutes and we were able to put it in our existing 4 gang box no problem. We originally intended to put the second switch by the end of the hallway but my family enjoys it at the couch. It's pretty awesome being able to switch our lights on and off from the couch! This is a great solution for those that can't run new wire or disabled people just wanting greater convenience with the ability to put switches anywhere. Definitely would buy again and would recommend!! Especially because you don't need to worry about batteries ever!!

We have a door in our garage that opens to the back yard, but when they built my house, they didn't add a light switch there. The only switch is by the main door that goes into our house. Sometimes we go into the garage from the back yard at night, and it's no fun stumbling around in the dark.I didn't want to run wiring from one switch to the other, so,I decided to give this a try. It only took a few minutes to install, and it works perfectly. I really like that it doesn't need to use batteries.I mounted the remote to the wall with screws, but you can just stick it on the wall if you want. I'm not planning on moving it, so I opted for a permanent mount. So far, we're very happy with the new switch. No more barking our shins on the kids' bikes in the dark.

I ordered this specifically for the misplaced switch controlling the canned lighting in my dining room. This switch has bothered me ever since moving into my house, but the thought of climbing into the attic wasn't appealing, either. However, this requires a neutral wire at the switch in order for the receiver to be installed at the switch (which mine doesn't have). Otherwise, it has to be installed at the light. Since I'm wanting to control multiple lights, this doesn't work for my scenario. Even though the listing states this more-or-less, it isn't as clear as in the instructions included in the box.I'm sure I'll be able to use it somewhere, but not for what I originally intended. However, I absolutely love the concept for this.

A must have if you want a 2nd light switch.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered the runlesswires light switch so that I could put in a second light switch in my garage.I've got a three car garage and of course the builder only puts the minimum amount of lights in there, never enough light. I could've taken the time and went and bought the additional wire, fished it down the wall to the one light switch and across (try to find all the studs to go through) the garage. Then run invto another light switch or go on the outside of the drywall, which would not look good. Then I found this switch. I looked at a lot of different, so-called smart switches, that would require you to run off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and even have batteries that you'd need to change in the future for your light switches. This does none of that. It doesn't require any battery, Bluetooth, wifi, etcThe kit that I purchased came with two switches and one receiver. The receiver simply wires into your existing house wiring. According to the instructions mine didn't require a ground hook up. Then that's it. You then mount the switches wherever you want to. I mounted the 1st switch over the receiver where my original light switch was. The 2nd switch I mounted on a small piece of wood over by my garage service door which leads outside. Was it expensive. Yes and no.Looking at the price, of course it's initially sticker shock. However when you take into account trying to wire a switch yourself and buying the wire, the switch, and your time, it's not expensive. Then look at the price of an electrician. I'm sure an electrician would charge a bunch more than the price of this kit to run wire, fish that wire through walls, another light switch, etc.For me it wasn't expensive considering those factors.Longevity. Who knows. I'm new to this and how it last and never gives out. The manufacture does provide a 5yr warranty.

This nifty device won't allow you to place power where there isn't any. It allows you to place a switch any where. Not useful for the application I needed.

Excellent Alternative to Running Wires

I have a room with no electrical box in the ceiling and nothing that I can easily tap off of. It would be a pain to run the wires up the wall and across the ceiling from the wall outlet, which is well beyond my skill level. The room has do lights and I really needed a ceiling light. I figured that I'd give this wireless option a try and I'm very happy with the results. It was super easy to install since there's no wiring to run. It also comes with two wall switches that I placed at each entrance to the room. I was confused by how it would work with just the kinetic energy, but it does and therefore I'm not going to question it. I think this would be an excellent option for someone with an apartment that can't make any major changes.
