🧰 Installation in a Nutshell

  1. Connect the Receiver at the light fixture or inside the old switch junction box (neutral wire required).
  2. Mount or stick the Remote Switch where you want: wall, flat surface, or use as a remote.
  3. Click and enjoy—It’s pre‑programmed out of the box. Power press the switch, and you’re done.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

Indoors Only: Switches and receiver are not weatherproof and should be used indoors; a receiver or switch installed on an outdoor light will need protection from the elements.

Pre-linked: Switches and receiver are shipped to you already linked together for a quicker installation.

Range: The range of switch is 50-150 feet from the receiver, depending on walls and barriers. Test desired distances before completing installation.

Interference: Multiple units may be used in the same home without interference. Unique radio frequency won’t interfere with other devices.

Power Supply: Receiver requires AC input. Switches are self-powered and require no power supply.

Easy Install: Our small receiver is simply wired between the power and the fixture, and then stored in the light box behind, or at the fixture location. Mount the switch anywhere with industrial tape or screws.  Also used to replace outdated, undesired current switches.

Gr8 solution!

This turned out to be just the right device for my application. Customer was concerned about the cost to run additional conduit and wire to get the switch where he wanted it in his equipment shed and this was a most cost effective solution AND it made me look like a hero!
Thank you!

Excellent product! Avoided a more involved electrician job. Won't need batteries, like most remotes do. Great!!.

This saved us the cost and hassle of finding an electrician to fish wire through insulation. Works as described perfectly. Easily DIY

It just works. The electrical installation was a snap with the wiring instructions printed right on the controller. Hooked up the wires, restored the power and everything worked perfectly. The catch is that the controller is LARGE and is unlikely to fit inside an existing junction box. It has a threaded neck to allow you to connect it to the outside of the junction box, but I did not have this access without doing drywall work. The whole point of paying the premium price for this wireless switch is that I did not want to have to do drywall work if I didn't have to. My solution was to break the plastic case and wrap the circuit boards of the controller in several rounds of electrical tape. This made the controller small enough that I could fit it in the junction box. I would recommend this system, but would like to see the folks at RunLessWire work to shrink the controllers significantly.

Great product! This kit was very simple to install and it functions perfectly. I didn't give it 5 rating because the receivers are larger than I expected. In my application, I had to use a separate single-gang box in tandem with a wall plug because the receiver was too large to safely fit in same box with the wall plug. Regardless, we are delighted to now have lighting and a switch where none previously existed.

Don't expect all to work! I have two out of three that are working so far, When will they break is anybody's guess

Finally something that works the way it's supposed to!

These things are great. Really made re-wiring my kitchen lights a breeze. I also added a second switch, which was easy to program for the existing receivers. Only issue I had was getting the receivers to fit into my already crowded junction boxes. And they are quite pricey - but worth it.

I had to move the receiver to the outside of the junction box on the wall so that it would work, from two different locations. well I am happy to say it has worked perfect so far... even from across the barn, thru three wood walls, the switch has had a 100% success rate when turning the lights on and off.. very impressed.. might buy more for other areas of the barn after seeing how good these work and if the price drops a lot more. Really spendy, but no batteries required, and no wiring installation required.
